The long-planned investment in the automation of our welding shop is slowly taking shape. The new ARCentre XPERT welding robot system is expected to go into operation in May 2024 and will support our welders in demanding MIG and MAG welding work in the future.
The welding robot is paired with a turn-tilt positioner for component dimensions up to 2000x2000mm and 2t unit weight. This allows complex welding assemblies of this size to be welded in a single clamping operation. As an additional option, the system can be used in 2-position operation or combined with a counter bearing for components up to 6 m in length.
